Adoption and Parenting Issues:
All HIC counselors appreciate that adoption is a lifelong process for the adopted child, the birth family, and the adoptive family. They are able to support families as they navigate the various social/emotional/developmental challenges that arise from the adoptive experience, the intricacies of open adoption relationships, and transracial family and parenting issues. The HIC Counseling center is able to partner with parents and help them understand the key role they play in their child’s healing process.
Counseling at HIC will be offered on a sliding scale. If interested in counseling services, please contact us at 808-589-2367 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
